Melissa Mann is a Strategic Account Advisor at BigSpeak bringing over 20 years of experience in strategic communications and government relations. Prior to BigSpeak Melissa spent over a decade in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security where she led initiatives to promote federally-funded research and development as well as scouted keynotes and thought leaders for international cybersecurity conferences.
Melissa draws on her experience as a life-long storyteller, natural curator and translator, and is great at breaking down complex ideas and finding creative solutions when there is no critical path. A bit of a global nomad, Melissa has lived and worked in Buenos Aires, London, New Delhi and Tel Aviv. Overall Melissa finds joy making unexpected connections and is passionate about re-thinking notions of success throughout the many stages of life. As a Strategic Account Advisor with BigSpeak, she is committed to building trusted partnerships with her clients.
A Chicago native, Melissa received a Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University and Master’s Degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science and University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. When Melissa is not in the office she is slowly moving up the Peloton leaderboard and improving her tennis game. On the weekends you can find her on the soccer sidelines watching her two children with her husband and rescue dog Zico.
