Samuel Bacharach is the McKelvey-Grant Professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior at the ILR School at Cornell. He founded the New York City-based Bacharach Leadership Group (BLG) that focuses on training and coaching leaders in the core skills of agenda moving. He is the author or editor of over 15 books and over 100 academic articles.

He has written a number of practitioner books on leadership; specifically, he writes about the political skills leaders need to drive their agenda and implement change. Earlier volumes published by Bacharach include: Get Them on Your Side and Keep Them on Your Side. His most recent volume is The Agenda Mover: When Your Good Idea is Not Enough (Cornell University Press, 2016). A follow-up volume, Transforming the Clunky Organization: Leading for Discovery and Delivery, will be published later this year. He is a regular columnist for Inc.com.
In recent years, his non-academic pursuit has been to train organizational leaders at all levels. His online and offline material has been used by organizations such as Cornell University, University of Virginia, Lehigh University, Cisco, SunGard, PepsiAmericas, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Citigroup, Chubb, Gap, Inc.
