Michael Ray‘s Key Accomplishments Include . . .
Michael L. Ray is the first John G. McCoy-Banc One Corporation Professor of Creativity and Innovation and Marketing (Emeritus) at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Michael Ray has produced over one hundred publications, including nine books and six state-of-the-art chapters. His books include Creativity in Business (co-authored with Rochelle Myers), which was named as one of the nine “Greatest Business Books Ever Written” by Inc. magazine, The Path of the Everyday Hero (co-authored with Lorna Catford), which was picked as the “Best Business Self-Help Book” by the New York Times News Service, and The Creative Spirit (co-authored with Daniel Goleman and Paul Kaufman), which was the companion book to the PBS series of the same name. Michael Ray is also a Fellow of the World Business Academy and received their prestigious Harman Award.

He is a specialist in new paradigm business, creativity, innovation, marketing communication, advertising, and the behavioral science approach to marketing problems. Michael Ray is a social psychologist with extensive experience in advertising, marketing management and in developing generative work environments for companies and individuals.
Michael Ray developed Creativity in Business (CIB), an innovative learning system designed to ignite individual and organizational creativity through a combination of learning media and exercises. CIB is based on his Stanford Graduate School of Business course, “Personal Creativity in Business,” which has received national and international media attention for its innovative approaches to developing creativity in business and in everyday life.
