Known for his unique brand of political satire as the host of Comedy Central’s runaway hit The Daily Show, Jon Stewart is considered one of America’s most respected comedic voices on American politics and current events. With unmatched wit and a deep knowledge of the issues, he shares his unique perspective in keynote speeches across the country.
As host of “The Daily Show,” Stewart has interviewed such political luminaries as former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, John McCain and John Edwards and such celebrity icons as Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks and George Clooney.
Since the 2000 election year, Stewart and The Daily Show have led the way to the White House as the torchbearers of Comedy Central’s Peabody Award-winning “Indecision” election coverage, which follows the entire election cycle from the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primaries straight through to election night.
Before hosting The Daily Show, Stewart appeared as an actor in The Larry Sanders Show, the Adam Sandler comedy Big Daddy, the romantic drama Playing by Heart, and the horror-comedy The Faculty. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Naked Pictures of Famous People, a collection of fictitious and humorous what-if essays, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction, which received a Best Comedy Album Grammy Award for its audio edition. He has also served as host for the Grammy Awards and the Academy Awards twice respectively.
