With our mission of Awakening Greatness Within^®, it should come as no surprise that BigSpeak is dedicated to charitable giving and supporting local organizations. We believe that it is the responsibility of any successful business to uplift others in both their immediate community and beyond.

Most recently, we matched employee donations to the humanitarian aid group Direct Relief to support relief efforts in Turkey and Syria following February 6th’s horrific earthquake. The Santa Barbara-based organization has pledged over 22 tons of medical aid supplies, including antibiotics, medic field packs, and hygiene items for those displaced by the disaster. 

With a history of providing direct and targeted charitable aid since 1948, Direct Relief is active in over 80 countries, and is ranked as one of Charity Navigator’s “10 Best Charities,” and has earned a 100% fundraising efficiency ranking from Forbes due to their practice of making use of 100% of all donations in their relief efforts. BigSpeak has supported Direct Relief on several other occasions over the years, including matching employee donations last year during the organization’s drive to provide medical aid to Ukraine.

BigSpeak is passionate about our local community. We remain supporters of several groups and organizations in the Santa Barbara area, including Heal the Ocean, an environmental non-profit focused on wastewater infrastructure  as well as ocean dumping practices that have contributed to ocean pollution. BigSpeak also contributes to The Montessori Center School of Santa Barbara, the Roosevelt Education Foundation, and the SB Bowl Foundation.

Our organization seeks to uplift within as well as without. In January, BigSpeak, along with other local businesses, sponsored team member Amy Eddy’s inaugural iFLOURISH Conference, an event devoted to female empowerment in the areas of finance, fitness, food & family relationships. 

On a smaller scale, we sponsor personal development for our employees, knowing an investment into their continued growth and education is an investment in both our business and community at large.

We are glad to be playing our part in making the world a better place for everybody and we take pride in our contributions being put to good use. As we continue to grow, we look forward to expanding upon our commitment to helping out where it’s needed most.
