BigSpeak, a Santa Barbara-based speakers bureau, is seeking an industry professional who is eager to learn and grow their career as a Sales Associate to our Executive Vice President. You’ll be tasked with working directly with fortune 1000 clients to contract speakers, celebrities, thought leaders, and subject matter experts for corporate conferences, conventions, retreats, and international events.
We provide a dynamic environment with unlimited potential to succeed as you interact with our world-class talent and experts, securing them for keynote speaking engagements and corporate training programs around the world. This is primarily a consultative sales position, wherein you will work alongside our Executive Vice President to advise clients, cultivate relationships, and close deals. You will also be expected to assist our EVP with ad hoc projects and various tasks such as preparing expense reports, booking travel, managing calendars, and running errands as needed. Within your first year, you will be handling some event and speaker bookings directly and on your own, with little or no supervision from the EVP.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably at a speakers bureau, talent agency, or adjacent industry
- Growth mindset (professionally and personally)
- Ability to demonstrate planning, pipeline management, strategic account management and a hustle to get through a huge list of priorities, requests and sometimes, last minute urgent situations
- Experience servicing events, customers, and working with event planners
- Professional phone presence and comfort making cold calls
- A passion for learning, development, and keeping up with current events
- Proficient and fast typist
- Diplomatic and graceful under pressure
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Competency in triaging both your own and the EVP’s priorities
- Proficient with Google suite, Acrobat, Docusign and Salesforce
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base pay equating to $45,000 annually
- Commission and incentives on each sale closed
