About Speaker Patrick McGinnis…
Patrick McGinnis is a venture capitalist, serial entrepreneur, author and global keynote speaker. He is the managing partner and founder of Dirigio Advisors, which provides strategic advice to investors and businesses operating in Latin America and other emerging markets. Dirigio Advisors has worked with leading global companies such as The Resource Group, World Bank and Centria.
In his new book, The 10% Entrepreneur (Portfolio, April 12, 2016), McGinnis explains how to have the stability of a day job with the excitement of a startup – all of the benefits of entrepreneurship with none of the pitfalls. He shows readers that by investing just 10 percent of their time and resources they can become an entrepreneur without losing a steady paycheck.
His insights on entrepreneurship and venture capitalism have been featured in top outlets like Forbes.com, The Huffington Post, Boston Magazine and Business Insider.
